The Conference will be held in Coimbra, Portugal, known all over the world to receive high quality events, like this one. The City of Coimbra has its own very special mystique. Rich in its history and with a University founded in 1290 by King Dinis, Coimbra is the home to the oldest university of Portugal and one of the oldest in the world.

The Joanina Library is the Baroque library of the University of Coimbra, built in the 18th century . It is located in the university historic centre, near the university tower , and is part of University of Coimbra General Library .



There are eight Faculties at Coimbra University, represented by different colors: Law in Red, Medicine in Y ellow, Letters in Dark Blue, Sciences & T echnology in Light Blue, Pharmacy in Purple, Economics in Red and White, Psychology & Education Sciences in Orange and Sports Sciences & Physical Education in Brown.

Among some of the oldest many academic traditions there is the "Festa das Latas" (a
homecoming to the new students), and the "Queima das Fitas" (a celebration of graduation's end).
