ICEM 08
Dear Authors and Participants,
It is our great pleasure to invite you to ICEM'08- XVIII International Conference on Electrical Machines,to be held in Vilamoura (Algarve), Portugal,from 6th-9th September 2008.
This Conference, now in its 18th edition is the only major International Conference devoted entirely to electrical machines. Started in London in 1974, ICEM (icem.metu.edu.tr) is now established as a regular biennal event. Very sucessful conferences were held in Helsinki (Finland) in 2000, Bruges (Belgium) in 2002, Cracow (Poland) in 2004, Chania (Greece) in 2006.
This Conference like its predecessors is a forum for specialists engaged in the field of electrical machines,to discuss current progress and future developments and trends in, transformers, drive systems and intelligent electromechanical systems, to exchange information and experience of developments, trends and applications, from researchers, academics and professionals.Topics related to pratical applications, operations, maintenance and teaching are also highly encouraged.
You are strongly encouraged to participate and submit papers to the ICEM'08 Conference. We also plan to hold an exhibition of software and computer tools for electrical machines design, analysis and simulation. Potential authors and other interested participants are most welcome to visit the Conference web page at www.apdee.org/conferences/icem08 and English will be the working language for all printed material, presentations and discussions.
Vilamoura, in the Algarve (the southern coast of Portugal) is known all over the world and it is a superb place to receive high quality events, like this one.
